Introduction
I have been an Affiliate for almost seven years (2007) and I have worked with just about every Affiliate Network there is: CJ, Linkshare, Avantlink, Performics, SAS and Kolimbo just to name a few. I have been working with datafeeds for almost six years as an Affiliate and I have accumulated some knowledge in that time regardless of my short term memory. Working with datafeeds brought my online business to another level and allowed me to run Affiliate sites full-time. This is why Datafeeds are so important to me, simply put – “they pay the bills”.
Over the years I have tried to work with several Affiliate Managers in hopes of getting them to “Optimize” their datafeed for Affiliate Marketers. Not just the “Tech Savvy” Affiliates either, I have tried to establish some sort of STANDARD format for Affiliate Datafeeds. I created this blog in order to hopefully get the ball rolling or at least have someplace to send Affiliate Managers to help them understand the importance of “Optimizing” their datafeeds. I can only keep my fingers crossed and hope some sort of STANDARD is created for Affiliate Datafeeds across the board.

I am not a “Data Expert” a “Data Technician” or “God”… What I say on this blog is TRUE to the best of my knowledge. I do not run every type of operating system, server software, or browser so there is a huge possibility that I have missed something in my search for the perfect STANDARD datafeed format. When I write articles for this blog it may sound like I am speaking from a position of authority. This, is not the case. I am simply speaking from my own experience.
